Job Title: Development/Program Manager
(Closes Dec. 9, 2008)
Hrs/Week: 40 hours
Location: Paradise, CA Pay: $2,600/mo. DOE

Essential Job Skills:
• Leadership ability, including ability to motivate others; build consensus; build and manage teams including staff and volunteers.
• Supervisory skills; including oversight of staff time management, staff activities and staff use of budgetary fund expenditure
• Ability to represent the organization's interests in public arenas
• Ability to identify possible funding opportunities and organize a grant proposal
• Loyalty to the mission, leadership and success of the agency
• Frequent communication with the Executive Director, including a monthly report on your activities and the activities of the staff
• Ability to manage a project with regional scope and multiple goals and priorities.
• Knowledge of computers systems, including e-mail, internet searches, Excel, PowerPoint and Word • Ability to navigate a database
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with staff, clients, and service providers
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, including public speaking to large diverse groups.
• Ability to travel throughout region, state, and out of state as needed.

 

Experience & Education:
• College degree at BA level or higher preferred.
Minimum experience required:
• 5 years as leader or key staff person in project development, implementation, in project of similar size and scope, with a non-profit or for profit organization or agency, preferably a parent-directed project.
• 5 years supervisory experience with staff of similar size and scope.
May consider minimum 7 years experience in related field in lieu of degree.
