Parent Services

RFENC offers a multitude of services from support groups to workshops to online discussion boards that fascilitate communication among parents and between parents and professionals alike. Both of our offices have a lending library that contain many books and videos about several different disabilities and disability related subjects. Many of the county libraries in far Northern California have books and videos placed by RFENC, making it convenient to access these resources even if neither of our offices are closeby. If you have any questions, feel free to call or e-mail us. We are always pleased to serve you and we're only a phone call away!

We Believe...
Families are the best experts about what they need.
Families should be supported as decision makers, rather than having decisions made for them by others.
Families benefit from services and supports that meet their needs by focusing on the entire family, build on family strengths, and respect cultural preferences, family values, and lifestyles.
Families benefit from contact with others who share a similar experience, and find strength in numbers.
Families are quite capable of handling the challenges of raising an exceptional child.
All children with disabilities must be given the opportunity to live with a family both supported and empowered; to participate fully in their communities; and to reach their maximum potential.
Every community and its people are enriched by the inclusion of people with diverse abilities.
Families benefit from supports that promote the inclusion of people with disabilities in all aspects of community life.
