Training, Speaking Engagements and Presentations:

Rowell Family Empowerment of Northern CA, Inc. (RFENC) staff at is available for speaking engagements on a wide variety of topics, all related to people with diverse abilities. Our presentations are designed to increase diverse-ability awareness, increase understanding of parents of children with diverse abilities, and increase understanding of the many facets of Rowell Family Empowerment. Topics include:

- Understanding the Programs and Projects of Rowell Family Empowerment
Provides an overview of all that RFENC is about; approximately 1 hour.
- 'Making Friends' Puppet Presentations
Cchild-size puppet presentation on diverse ability awareness; appropriate for grades preschool-3rd grade; approximately 1-2 hours in length.
- Walk In My Shoes
An experiential workshop involving a panel of parents of children with diverse abilities; approximately 3 hours, depending on size of group.
- Collaboration between Parents and Professionals
A Cultural Perspective; exploring the cultural implications when working together; one hour.

Whether we speak to a crowd of school personnel or put on a puppet show for a preschool class, getting the word out about people with diverse abilities is paramount and we appreciate every opportunity.
