Autism Resources

California Autism Professional Training And Information Network (CAPTAIN) is a multiagency network developed to support the understanding and use of Evidence Based Practices for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder across the state.

RFENC is proud to be one of the many Family Resource Centers who are collaborating with CAPTAIN as part of the Statewide System of Support.

Our efforts are focused on collaborating with Districts, SELPA’s, and Regional Centers with the primary goal of building capacity of implementing Evidence-Based Practices (EBPs) to support students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in schools, homes, and communities.

Autism Focused Intervention Resources Modules are designed to help parents learn the step-by-step process of planning for, using, and monitoring an Evidenced-Based Practices with learners with ASD from birth to 22 years of age.

Early intervention and education for autism spectrum disorder – resources.

The MIND Institute has free online learning modules to help parents more effectively teach their child(ren) with autism and other related neurodevelopmental disabilities. These resources are available in Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese and Spanish, as well as English!

Sex Education Guide
This guide is a sexuality and sex education resource written specifically for people on the autism spectrum age 15 and up. People on the autism spectrum sometimes don’t have the chance to learn about sexuality and sex in ways that work for them, so OAR created this guide as a starting point to change that.
