Currently Open Positions

Respite Care Providers are primarily responsible for providing care, guidance and mentoring to children, youth, or adults with developmental disabilities. Through Rowell Family Empowerment of Northern California, respite care allows the family and/or primary caregivers to receive an occasional break of a few hours to as much as an overnight or two. All Respite care providers are classified as Home Health Care Providers. Families typically give a minimum of 48 hours in advanced notice when scheduling services.

We are looking for loving people with some experience caring for those with a diagnosis, or at least a desire to learn about it. Perhaps a family member or one with a background in child development or special education would enjoy this opportunity. Family members of individuals with special needs who have an interest are welcome to apply. Individuals interested in being a part of our respite program will receive training that includes Mandated Reporting, Seizure Protocol, Proper Lifting Techniques, CPR certification, and First Aid certification. CPR and First Aid are a must to provide the best safety to our families. Ongoing training and support are provided as needed.

Pay

In accordance with California law, the pay for this California position is $15.65 per hour when providing care for one consumer and $18.65 per hour when providing care for more than one consumer.

The Group Leader will be responsible for the development, instruction, and implementation of curricula, oversight of the Inclusion Assistants’ support, and providing behavior interventions to all students within the designated social groups.  

Hours, Salary, and Benefits: 

Part-Time, hourly, non-exempt position, working between 5-15 hours per week at $40.00 per hour.  Paid Sick Leave 

The inclusion Assistant will assist the Group Leader in providing instruction and implementation of specific evidence-based practices to social group participants.

The Community Navigator educates families about resources based on current needs, and assists in the development of community support systems and networks. Community Navigators empower families, and individuals as they learn to navigate the systems that serve them. They are individuals with lived and/or 3 years of professional experience in the areas of social services, mental health, special education Regional
Center services, and related fields. Community Navigators use their experience and knowledge to assist with planning, problem solving, education and empowerment.

Community Navigators are involved in the operations and development of trainings, and educational and professional community engagement activities. The Community Navigator works to increase awareness and improve effectiveness of parent-professional partnerships and collaboration.

Office Assistant Job Purpose: is responsible for performing a range of clerical and administrative tasks to support daily operations and programmatic support. Duties include sorting and distributing correspondence throughout the office, including referrals, faxes, and other related mail. Supporting office staff with phone calls, filing, data entry, and research. Greeting office visitors and directing them to employees and
coordinating with Managers to schedule appointments or update schedules.

20 Hours per week
